The Bible teaches us that God is always willing to hear us, guide us, and open doors for us if we seek Him diligently. One of the most profound teachings of Jesus on prayer is found in Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV):

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

2. Seek – Pursue God with All Your Heart

Seeking goes beyond asking—it involves actively pursuing God and His righteousness. Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV) declares, “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Seeking requires diligence, obedience, and a sincere desire to know God more.

Jesus also emphasized this in Matthew 6:33 (KJV): “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” When we prioritize God above everything else, He ensures that our needs are met.

3. Knock – Persist in Faith Until the Door Opens

Knocking represents perseverance in prayer and faith. Sometimes, God does not answer immediately, but He wants us to persist and trust in His timing. In Luke 18:1-8 (KJV), Jesus shared the parable of the persistent widow who kept pleading with the unjust judge until he granted her request. Jesus used this story to encourage us to never give up in prayer.

Revelation 3:8 (KJV) reminds us of God’s promise: “I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it.” When we continue knocking, God opens the right doors at the right time.
